"Once an artist of one, always an artist of many."

Nicki Hart is a digital artist from Colorado. She earned a B.F.A. in digital art with an emphasis in design and photography.
Her artwork consists of a variety of digital techniques, but her current series combines digital abstracts created in Photoshop with photography. She first obtains an abstract photograph, with a focus on light, and then further manipulates the photo to create her final abstract piece. Her digital abstracts are free flowing with intense light, shapes and color that emerge from a black canvas. Hart’s abstracts also offer a sweet release from the corporate imagery she creates on a daily basis. Hart has exhibited at the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art and her piece, Tech 2007, was featured on the cover of Advanced Photoshop Magazine’s 50th issue.
Digital Abstracts
Abstract art has been around for so long, yet it is a new realm when it comes to digital. The use of colours and endless shapes make this form of digital art both breathtaking and unique. My digital abstracts are free flowing with intense light. Colors and strokes emerge from a black canvas and develop into shapes of all sorts.
Photography
Photography has always been part of my life. From the time I held my first camera to now, images are always waiting to be captured. I am always ready with camera in hand for that next great photo. I work both commercially and artistically with photography. My latest series combines my digital abstracts with photography to create new and vibrant pieces.
